Hello y'all! I'm freebrickproductions, an aromantic & asexual railfan, traffic signal collector, and siren enthusiast from Huntsville, AL, you can also call me David if you want too. The pronouns I use are they/them.

New(-ish) DDI at Exit 55 on I-65 (June Lake Boulevard in Spring Hill, TN)

Back at the end of May, TDOT opened a new Diverging Diamond Interchange (DDI) on I-65 in Spring Hill, TN, which became Exit 55 on I-65. After I'd filmed the incandescent signals in Thompson's Station, I was on my way home and was going to get onto I-65 here to head back to Huntsville. As I hadn't been through it yet, I decided to record this video of it on my dashcam to show it off. I believe this is the closest DDI to me now, though it wasn't the first one I've been through (that was down near Savannah, GA, on I-95).

Does the Modulators in Bridgeport test with the rest of Jackson county or are they on a separate test schedule?

Awesome! Maybe you can get a Southbound train at this Railroad Crossing sometime! Liberty Pike, and Mallory Station Rd are some good crossings along with doing the Moores Lane Railroad Crossing in Brentwood, TN.

In Los Angeles, incandescent traffic lights are extinct. All were retrofitted with an LED bulb between 2001-2011 and some refitted with proper LEDs from 2014-2019

So disappointing to replace signals that are slightly new from the 2000s, Csx should have just moved them back rather than replace it, They do tend to waste alot of money when they remove Perfectly working signals with new ones, nice catch tho
I suspect the old signals were saved to be used as emergency knock-down replacements or taken apart for spare parts. Thanks!
